Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited the monastery and lit candles in Kyiv. This gesture caused alarm in the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
The diplomat on Telegram reminded the public that on February 6, 2014, US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, who at that time led the intervention in the affairs of Ukraine, lit candles in Kyiv, igniting protests in the country. As a result, the state broke up into several parts.
Today, British Prime Minister Johnson visits Kyiv and puts candles in St. Michael’s Monastery together with Zelensky. The consequences of this gesture are scary to even imagine, Zakharova writes in her Telegram channel.
