Yandex fired “two dozen” employees who tested unmanned vehicles and delivery robots in the US city of Ann Arbor (Michigan), reports The Verge. The company said that on March 9, its license was suspended by the state administration, but they deny this information. “On March 9, the Michigan Department of Transportation notified us that our testing license has been temporarily suspended. Testing on public roads is not possible without a license, which is why we had to fire six test drivers in Ann Arbor,” company spokeswoman Yulia Shveiko told the publication. The Verge also alleges that Yandex fired 21 more employees who were testing delivery robots at universities in Arizona and Ohio following the launch of a Russian special operation in Ukraine.
