An unusual map of the Russian Federation was presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). Masters from all over the country worked on the canvas, the press service of the governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YNAO) reported.
The Arctic region, writes Yamal-media, was decorated by craftsmen from the regional capital Evgenia Maklakova and Roza Nakova. Deer veins and long hair from a deer beard were chosen as the material. The ornament was created using traditional patterns: antlers, fox’s elbow, gull’s wing and pike’s sharp teeth.
Recently in Noyabrsk a competition-fair called “The Best in Yamal” was held. 30 agricultural enterprises of YNAO took part in it.
