The blockchain-based collectible card game Gods Unchained has been added to the Epic Games Store.

The project’s executive producer, Daniel Paez, said the move marks the expansion of Web3 gaming to a more mainstream audience.

The developer of the game is the Immutable platform. In March 2023, the company raised $200 million at a $2.5 billion valuation.

“Gods Unchained is one of the few blockchain games that is part of a larger, well-funded company. We are currently at a tipping point for the project and the next six months look like one of the most exciting in our long history,” said Paez.

According to him, the game team is currently creating internal management mechanisms, and is also working on possible changes to the economic model.

Between June 11 and 18, Gods Unchained accounted for 92% of NFT trading volume outside of the Ethereum blockchain game market, according to The Block.

Recall that in March, Immutable entered into a partnership with Polygon to accelerate the development and implementation of Web3 games. As part of the agreement, the company is going to use zero-knowledge proof technology from the project.

Earlier, Immutable introduced a cryptocurrency wallet aimed at blockchain gamers. The Passport project is also used for player profile management and authentication.
