The engine room of the Cameroonian dry cargo ship Lider Bulut, which sent an SOS signal in the Black Sea, began to flood with water, a FAN source said.
Crew members noticed the influx of water around 04:30 am. At 06:00, it was decided to assemble a rescue team to send it to the ship.
Experts measured the depth at the side in order to approach it. Around 16:00, additional rescue teams will arrive at Lider Bulut.
The Cameroonian-flagged cargo ship Lider Bulut issued a distress signal in the Black Sea near the Russian city of Tuapse. In recent days, it has been running between Novorossiysk and Turkish Samsun.
The ship is carrying fruits and vegetables, and there are 28 crew members on board – citizens of Turkey and Georgia.
