Vladivostok will receive 215 million rubles for infrastructure for tourists

Vladivostok became one of the winners of the first competition of projects for the arrangement of tourist centers, held by the Federal Tourism Agency. The city will receive a subsidy of 215 million rubles, according to the city administration.

According to Mayor Konstantin Shestakov, first of all, the funds will go to the creation of tourist navigation. Also, the money will be used to purchase modular toilets, which will be installed in popular public places, and architectural lighting of the main buildings, RIA Vostok-Media writes.

Part of the funds will go to the maintenance and placement of tourist kiosks, for example, to sell sightseeing tours. In addition, it is planned to hold several thematic fairs, equip view and photo zones, lay tactile tiles, install benches, arches.

As PrimaMedia news agency was informed in the press service of Rostourism, 31 projects were selected within the framework of the first competition of projects for the arrangement of tourist centers. The total support measure will amount to 6 billion rubles. The implementation of the projects is scheduled for 2023.

The funds were allocated within the framework of the national project “Tourism and hospitality industry”. With their help, cities are offered to introduce a single architectural and design code in tourist centers.
