US Treasury: Microsoft will pay almost three million dollars due to sanctions violations

Microsoft will pay almost three million dollars for violating US sanctions, including those against Russia, the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control said.

According to the department, the company will have to settle over 1.3 thousand such cases.

The document says that Microsoft is also involved in violating restrictions on Cuba, Iran and Syria. Their essence lies in the export of services or software from the United States to these countries.
