Unidentified people under the guise of the FBI stole cryptocurrencies from spouses in New York

On July 16, two unidentified men raided a couple’s apartment in New York City, stealing cryptocurrencies, cash and luxury items. It is reported by NBC with reference to the police.

According to law enforcement officers, strangers dressed in suits and ties drove up to the house of the victims in a black Porsche Cayenne, introduced themselves as FBI agents and demonstrated firearms.

Inside the apartment, they used a stun gun on the spouses and tied them up. The attackers stole about $20,000 in cash and cryptocurrencies, a Rolex watch, a Hermes baseball cap, a Chanel bag, a wallet, a mobile phone, and also stole the Mercedes-Benz belonging to the couple. The total damage exceeded $40,000.

Surveillance cameras captured the appearance of the suspects. Police are now asking for help in locating them.

Earlier, Canadian police warned large crypto investors about the increasing cases of robberies.
