Andriy Ivko, First Deputy Chairman of Ukravtodor, said this during a press conference at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform on the topic “Humanitarian aid from the Czech Republic. Results of road infrastructure restoration”.
“Now we practically work in all regions of Ukraine, but we are engaged in restoration only in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Zhytomyr, Nikolaev regions. To date, we can state that we have already cleared 938 kilometers of roads, and also built 41 temporary crossings on state roads,” he said.
Ivko recalled that the Administration of State Material Reserves of the Czech Republic also handed over to Ukraine two temporary bridges 36 meters long each. One of them follows to the Kyiv region. Their installation will begin in areas that are in critical need of resuming transport links. Completion of the relevant work is expected in July.
As reported, as of early June, the total amount of direct damage to the Ukrainian economy from damage and destruction of residential, non-residential buildings and infrastructure is $103.9 billion or UAH 3 trillion.
