Turkey will offer to extend the food deal for one year. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.
The agreement, concluded in the summer in Istanbul, expires on November 19, 2022. Moscow’s decision to resume its participation in the deal does not mean that it will be extended after this period, Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, emphasized earlier.
Russia resumed participation in the grain deal on November 2 after Ukraine, through the mediation of the UN and Turkey, guaranteed in writing that it would not use the security corridor in the Black Sea for military purposes.
