Six F-16 fighters of the Israeli Air Force launched strikes with 22 guided missiles at the facilities of the Syrian Research Center in the city of Masyaf and the seaport of Banias. This was stated by Rear Admiral Oleg Zhuravlev, Deputy Head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria.
According to him, the fighter attack took place on the evening of May 13. The aircraft did not enter Syrian airspace. Zhuravlev noted that Syrian air defense destroyed 16 missiles and a drone.
According to the rear admiral, three Syrian military personnel and two civilian employees became victims of the airstrike. In addition, two Syrian soldiers were wounded. Also, the warehouses of special equipment of the Syrian Research Center were damaged by missiles.
