Bank of non-core assets “Trust” filed two lawsuits against Alexander Mamut, RBC reports. The total amount of claims in these claims is RUB 4 billion. In general, in 2021, the district courts of Moscow received four claims from the bank against Mr. Mamut.
In January, the bank demanded to recover 1 billion rubles from the businessman as a guarantor for a loan from the Cinema Park network. The next lawsuit was filed in March, the amount is unknown.
Another claim was registered by the Ostankino District Court of Moscow on May 7, another – by the Presnensky District Court on May 19. In the first case, “Trust” demands to recover 2.6 billion rubles from Alexander Mamut as a guarantor. overdue debt on principal and interest, in the second – 1.4 billion rubles.
In total, Mr. Mamut’s structures owe the Trust Bank 23.5 billion rubles, of which 19.8 billion rubles. accounts for the Cinema Park network of cinemas. In January, the bank wrote off the network’s New Year’s proceeds against overdue debt. In March, Trust demanded that the network repay the loan and the interest on it ahead of schedule. The company responded by claiming that it did not have the funds.
Alexander Mamut does not agree with Trust’s demand for Cinema Park, a representative of the billionaire said earlier. According to him, the parties are discussing debt restructuring. At the same time, in April, Cinema Park JSC applied to the Central Bank with a demand to revoke Trust’s license. According to the plaintiff, the bank is engaged in illegal collection and trading activities. The Trust believes that it has not received an acceptable restructuring proposal from the debtor.
Representatives of Trust and Mr Mamut did not respond to inquiries about the May lawsuits.
