The United States considers insulting the statements of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov about comparing the collective West with Nazi Germany. This was stated by the coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, John Kirby.

The official expressed confidence that no one threatens the existence of Russia. In his opinion, Lavrov resorted to an unacceptable comparison. However, Kirby stressed that Ukraine would continue to receive weapons from Western countries.

In his address, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry recalled Bonaparte Napoleon’s attempt to conquer the Russian Empire and Adolf Hitler’s aspirations to occupy the Soviet Union. According to him, the US and NATO want to solve the “Russian question” in the same way that the leader of Nazi Germany intended to do with the Jews in his time.
