The ban on wearing watches by prisoners of Russian colonies was recognized as legal by the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. Thus, the claim of the ex-mayor of Makhachkala, Said Amirov, who was sentenced to life in prison for organizing the murder of an investigator, was rejected – he asked that this paragraph of the internal regulations in correctional institutions be declared illegal.
