The prosecutor’s office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory took control of the investigation of a criminal case against the deputy head of the operational-investigative part of the internal security of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region. He is accused of bribery.
According to the investigation, the defendant received two cash rewards in the amount of 2.5 million rubles from loggers who illegally cut down trees. The policeman was detained. The question of the measure of restraint is being resolved.
Investigators intend to petition for the arrest of the accused. Case materials are being prepared for submission to court.
