The Ministry of Industry and Trade promised to allocate 20.7 billion rubles to maintain demand for cars

The Russian authorities intend to allocate 20.7 billion rubles to support demand in the automotive industry. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.

The minister held a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the automotive industry. The head of the country instructed to update the development strategy within two months in order to finally resolve the issue with support measures.

“As for this year, a decision was made to allocate 20.7 billion rubles to support demand. First of all, this is the renewal of car loans – 10.2 billion rubles, 4.9 billion rubles – for preferential leasing, 2.6 billion rubles – for discounts on electric transport and 3.3 billion rubles – for gas-engine equipment, ”added Manturov.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade took part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. In a solemn atmosphere, Denis Manturov opened the stand of Egypt.
