The Ministry of Finance wants to reduce the down payment on preferential mortgages

The Russian Finance Ministry has submitted to the government a draft resolution to reduce the requirements for the minimum size of the down payment on preferential mortgages from the current 20% to 15%, the press service of the ministry said.

The project aims to implement the list of instructions of the President of the Russian Federation and provides for a reduction in the down payment from 20% to 15% on mortgages provided under the Family Mortgage, Far Eastern Mortgage and Preferential Mortgages at 6.5% per annum programs.
