Residents of Russia will be able to transfer currency from the sale of securities to their foreign accounts. This is reported by TASS with reference to the department.
The weakening of restrictions on the movement of foreign currency awaits the Russians. The corresponding decision was made in the subcommittee of the government commission for the control of foreign investment.
“… allow resident individuals to credit their accounts opened with foreign banks and other financial market organizations with funds in foreign currency received from non-residents in transactions with securities. And also to credit funds to their foreign accounts received from the redemption of securities held by a foreign depository, foreign bank or other foreign financial market organization. These organizations keep records of the rights to securities and their storage outside the territory of the Russian Federation,” the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation noted.
According to the agency, the subcommittee’s permission came into effect on July 17 this year. The period of permission is not limited.
