The head of the state corporation Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, said that the Ukrainian Lybid satellite will be launched when the time comes.
“And who will represent Ukraine at that moment or what will be liberated from the dominion of the Kyiv junta is the second question,” Rogozin explained in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
The full interview of the head of Roskosmos has been published on the Smotrim media platform.
Now “Lybid” is in storage, all its systems are working, and Roskosmos is waiting for the real owner of the device to appear.
According to open sources, Lybid is a Ukrainian telecommunications satellite assembled by a Canadian company in 2009.
The launch of the apparatus was planned from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in 2011, but was postponed many times. And in 2014, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko ordered to ban any cooperation with the Russian Federation.
