The maximum number of participants in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) this year will be 5 thousand people, which will not exceed the safe capacity of Expoforum, where the event will be held. This was stated by the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“The maximum number of SPIEF participants will not exceed the safe capacity of the Expoforum Exhibition and Convention Center in an epidemic. Taking into account the requirements for social distance, other restrictions of Rospotrebnadzor, this is about 5 thousand people, “said Mr. Beglov. According to him, SPIEF will be safe for both participants and residents of the city. The governor also noted that since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, no one has organized events of this magnitude.
“Today we have much more experience and resources to ensure the stability of the epidemic situation in St. Petersburg. I am sure we will hold a safe SPIEF. Safe for both its participants and residents of the city, ”added the governor.
Mr. Beglov noted that non-contact thermometry will be organized in the hotels where the participants and guests of the forum will stay. If the body temperature rises, the forum participants will be isolated and hospitalized. The premises where there was a person with an elevated temperature will be cleaned, disinfected “and other necessary measures.” If a coronavirus is detected, SPIEF participants will be hospitalized at the Botkin Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital, and those who have contacted the sick will be sent to observatories at the Baltiets and Zarya boarding houses. During the event, ambulance teams will be constantly on duty at Expoforum, Pulkovo airport and Moscow railway station, the governor added.
SPIEF will be held at the Expoforum Exhibition and Convention Center in St. Petersburg from 2 to 5 June. The event will be attended by Russian and foreign businessmen, politicians and scientists.
