The Foreign Legion and the drowned tugboat – what fakes were spread in Ukraine on June 18
The international edition of the Federal News Agency has collected the most common fakes about the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine on June 18.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky showed Boris Johnson parts of a supposedly Russian Tochki-U missile at an exhibition of captured equipment. In fact, this missile system was removed from service with the Russian army in 2019. It was replaced by more modern Iskanders.
Nevertheless, Tochka-U is still in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is actively used to create numerous provocations and shelling of civilians. Among them are the railway station in Kramatorsk, the Knauf plant in Soledar and residential development in the Sinelnikovsky district of the Dnepropetrovsk region. The involvement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in these terrorist attacks has been proven and analyzed in detail by many experts.
Thus, the leader of the “square”, acting according to the old proven scheme, passed off the crimes of the Ukrainian army against its civilian population as the work of the Russian military.
According to the Ukrainian media, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, refused the Order of Alexander Nevsky. However, he was not nominated for the award. Tokayev has previously announced a decision not to accept any awards until the end of his presidential term.
“I don’t know where this information comes from, because no award was planned,” said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian president.
Ukrainian and Russian liberal media have spread disinformation about the complete sinking of the Russian ship Vasily Bekh. Data about this was even added to the Wikipedia page dedicated to the ship.
A fake exposed the Rybar Telegram channel, which posted a photo of the Vasily Bekh being towed to the port.
Foreigners six months ago in Severodonetsk
Almost all major Ukrainian Telegram channels were covered by a video called “Foreign Legion in Severodonetsk”. At the same time, the date of shooting is visible on the video – 11/27/2021.
Apparently, Zelensky’s office tried by all means to create the illusion of vigorous activity in Severodonetsk in order to hide the real state of affairs.
