The Ministry of Health of the Volgograd Region spoke about the achievement of neurosurgeons of the regional clinical hospital No. 1.
According to the department, regional surgeons performed the first minimally invasive operation on a patient’s cerebral artery, successfully clipping the aneurysm through a cosmetic incision above the eyebrow. The timely and skillfully performed operation prevented the rupture of the thinned artery, reports the Regional Information and Analytical Center.
It is noted that the most complicated operation through a small skin incision followed by craniotomy lasted 2.5 hours. The rescued patient was discharged from the hospital home after just four days.
