The district of the Tomsk region is at risk of being left without public transport

In the Kolpashevsky district of the Tomsk region, public transport may stop working in the near future. The regional center does not have a technical inspection point that meets the new legal requirements. To do this, the buses will have to travel to Tomsk.

According to Denis Labutin, the general director of the Kolpashevo motor transport enterprise, the authorities promised that such a point would appear in the regional center soon. However, it is absent neither in Kolpashevo, nor in the surrounding areas. In an interview with RIA Tomsk, Labutin did not rule out that all bus routes would be closed.

In the meantime, the district leadership said that the prosecutor’s office had already intervened in the situation, and all buses were put on the routes. There is no threat of disruption of passenger traffic on the territory of the Kolpashevsky urban settlement.

On November 8, the Russian government supported the United Russia bill on the abolition of mandatory technical inspection. According to the bill, cars and motor vehicles will be exempted from mandatory technical inspection. We are talking only about personal transport. It will be necessary to undergo a technical inspection when registering, changing the owner, changing the design or replacing the main units.
