The level of interest in buying parking spaces in Russian new buildings has dropped sharply. The supply is also decreasing: developers are making fewer and fewer parking lots in new buildings, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
The decline in demand for parking spaces in Russia for the year amounted to 20-25%, said Mikhail Anikin, a real estate expert at the federal company Etazhi. The main reason for this, he called the rising price of a residential “square”.
For most developers, parking lots and car spaces are increasingly turning into a marketing tool, the source added. In economy class houses, they are increasingly being used as additional bonuses when buying an apartment. In business class, parking lots are more in demand and sold out faster, since they are relatively cheap compared to the cost of such living space.
