The authorities of Goa have listed the rules for tourists that protect against “unintentional” violation of the law

A directive for tourists to protect travelers from scammers and “unwitting” violations of the laws was issued by the Goan government.

The authorities of the Indian state have harshly warned visitors about the observance of a number of rules. The guidelines have extended to various areas of recreation and activities, the India Times reports.

Tourists were urged to be careful and not to ride illegal taxis. Travelers should use meters to avoid overpaying for services. It is also important to book accommodation only in legal hotels that are registered with the Department of Tourism.

The authorities also issued a strict set of guidelines regarding the behavior of visitors. Tourists should not consume alcohol in public areas such as beaches. But you can drink alcoholic beverages in special rooms that are licensed for this. Outdoor cooking is also prohibited.
