The initiative aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills in the emerging digital economy.
According to the press release, Tether will participate in BTU’s educational programs on blockchain, cryptocurrencies, stablecoins and other technologies that promote financial freedom.
“We are excited to partner with BTU in encouraging the next generation of blockchain experts. Tether is committed to supporting education and working with BTU is a great opportunity to attract students in the region,” said Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino.
Professor and Rector of the University Nino Enukidze called the cooperation “an important step towards the development of the blockchain education ecosystem in Georgia.” According to her, students will be able to learn practical skills from industry experts, which will allow them to “contribute to the development of the digital economy.”
The monthly course consists of eight lectures by local and international blockchain experts. Most classes will be held in Georgian.
Recall that in February, the Binance cryptocurrency exchange signed a memorandum of understanding with the Innovation and Technology Agency of Georgia on the implementation of educational initiatives in the field of blockchain.
