South African Foreign Ministry to strengthen comprehensive cooperation with BRICS countries

Pretoria, 12 December. South Africa will strengthen mutually beneficial ties between the members of the BRICS club during the presidency. This was stated by the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Naledi Pandor.

The Republic of South Africa will take the place of the leader of the BRICS in early 2023. As the head of the club, South Africa plans to develop mutually beneficial cooperation between the participants. The diplomat noted the huge economic potential of the interstate association.

The minister pointed out the importance of projects that are designed to improve the situation in the world. Therefore, the work of the chairmanship will be carried out on the basis of consensus and continuity of objectives.

Earlier, representatives of South African agriculture began to supply tangerines to the Russian market. The citrus crop failure in the north of the Black Continent influenced the expansion of the geography of imports to the Russian Federation.
