If a bank employee needs a career time-out, then by agreement with the manager, you can take a long-term unpaid leave. Now Sberbank has three formats – office work, remote work and mixed work. Now employees have the opportunity to work remotely from another region of Russia for three months a year.
At the same time, all corporate benefits remain. To switch to remote work from the region, it is enough to agree with the head.
Long-term vacation can last from 1 to 12 months and can be interrupted at any time. For its part, Sberbank guarantees to preserve the place of the employee and his position.
“Sabbatical (long-term vacation) is becoming a new trend – our life is not 100% work, so sometimes it is important to take a break and try something new – for which there was not enough time before,” said Senior Vice President, Head of HR Sberbank Natalya Dudina. She noted that the bank also continues to develop remote banking – this format of work has already proven itself to be effective.
Earlier, Kommersant reported that against the background of coronavirus restrictions and the development of remote services, a number of large banks – Tinkoff Bank, Rosselkhozbank, VTB, Dom.RF – continued to increase the number of employees in the first quarter of 2021. Some universal large banks – Sberbank and FC Otkritie – have reduced their staff.
