Gardens, schools, medical facilities were built for residents. Sports facilities are being improved, new residential buildings are being built. The Foreign Ministry stressed that harmony reigns between peoples and confessions in Crimea, and rights and freedoms are respected. The peninsula became part of Russia on March 18, 2014.
