The air defense systems of the Russian army repelled a missile attack aimed at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, located in the Kherson region.

“Everything that arrived from the Ukrainian side was shot down by Russian air defense, everything is fine,” TASS quoted a representative of the regional military-civilian administration as saying.

Recall that on the night of Saturday, July 30, the Ukrainian military tried to hit the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station with the help of missiles fired from the American HIMARS multiple launch rocket system.

As previously reported, the infrastructure of the most important facility was not damaged, and the station continued to operate normally.

It should be noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine regularly shell the area of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, but they have not been able to achieve serious success. At the same time, civilian objects – residential areas and a bridge across the Dnieper – were repeatedly under attack.
