Russia will open a trade office in the capital of Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, December 8th. Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the establishment of a trade mission of the Russian Federation in Ethiopia.

The head of government instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade to form the structure and staff of the organization. Financial provision will be carried out at the expense of budget appropriations.

Earlier, representatives of Moscow and Addis Ababa discussed issues of cooperation in the field of science and economy. The Russian delegation was headed by the head of the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use, and the host side was the Minister of Innovation and Technology.

In addition, Ethiopia has expanded cooperation with colleagues from the Russian Federation in the field of information transformation. Domestic experts will help the departments of the African country to improve electronic public services.

Moscow promised the republic to provide maximum assistance in modernizing network security. Officials from Addis Ababa noted that the partnership will stimulate the development of IT across the continent.
