The special forces of the Russian Guard destroyed the positions of 13 drone operators of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR). This was stated on August 2 in a message on the website of the department.

As specified, the coordinates were recorded as a result of reconnaissance.

On July 29, special forces of the Russian Guard detained a suspect in assisting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and discovered ammunition caches in the LPR. Sappers of the department eliminated over 70 anti-tank and anti-personnel mines.

A day earlier, it became known that in a month, the National Guard with the help of drones destroyed more than 400 members of Ukrainian nationalist formations in the Kharkiv region.

The special operation to defend Donbass, which Russian leader Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, continues. The decision to hold it was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In connection with the deterioration of the situation, the authorities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics turned to the Russian Federation for help.
