According to him, it would be better to hold a referendum in the DPR on the same day as a similar event in the neighboring Luhansk People’s Republic.
Kofman said that it is planned to create a public referendum headquarters in the DPR, also by analogy with the LPR. However, now, according to him, the issue of liberation of the territories is paramount.
“So far, a full-fledged headquarters is impossible, because representatives from all regions, from all territories of the DPR will not be represented in it,” he explained.
The head of the DPR OP expressed the hope that by the time it joins the Russian Federation, the legislation of the republic will be unified with the Russian one.
“Actually, we are no different from the same Republic of Tatarstan, which is part of the Russian Federation,” he said. “So I don’t think it is very difficult to develop a package of laws and regulations that allow us a comfortable existence on the territory of the Russian Federation.”
