The VimpelCom company, which uses the Beeline brand, is negotiating the purchase of the DataFort subdivision, which provides cloud services, from the IBS IT company, RBC reports, citing four sources. A representative of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) confirmed that the service had received a petition from the Russian structure of the Veon holding (owns VimpelCom) to acquire IBS DataFort LLC.
The possibility of the transaction will be considered at a meeting of the government commission, said the representative of the FAS. Its approval is necessary due to the fact that Veon holding is foreign, and IBS DataForm works with cryptographic means.
IBS, according to one of the sources of RBC, estimates the value of DataFort at a multiple of 13 EBITDA, or 2.5-3 billion rubles. VimpelCom and IBS declined to comment on the publication.
IBS DataFort, according to information from the company’s website, provides virtual infrastructure, data processing centers (DPC) for rent, as well as consulting services.
