Pupils of primary schools in the Zaporozhye region from September 1 will receive free hot meals. This was announced on Tuesday, July 19, by the head of the military-civilian administration (CAA) of the region, Yevgeny Balitsky.

On June 29, it was reported that the first school in Zaporozhye received Russian accreditation. The head of Rosobrnadzor, Anzor Muzaev, noted that a school that received an accreditation certificate in accordance with Russian law has the right to issue graduation certificates. On the same day, graduates of school No. 15 were the first to receive Russian-style certificates.

At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that about 700 schoolchildren from Melitopol took part in testing to continue their education from September. Testing took place on the territory of the gymnasium №1. According to the Deputy Director, this is done to understand how much the children have mastered the program for the previous class in order to start the school year.

Part of the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine came under the control of the Russian military during a special operation of the Russian Federation to protect Donbass. Moscow explained that the tasks of the special operation include the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, the implementation of which is necessary to ensure the security of Russia. The decision was made against the backdrop of aggravation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
