South Korean company Krafton, which develops and distributes online video games, will launch the Settlus network based on Cosmos. This was announced by the co-founder of DEX Osmosis Josh Lee.

“This is a purpose-built blockchain designed to provide a transparent settlement system in the economy of creators,” the project’s website says.

According to the developers, the solution is designed to combine Web2 with Web3. Such integration, in their opinion, will lead to significant innovations in the existing Internet industry.

The launch of the testnet of the protocol is scheduled for early 2024.

The company called the Migaloo metaverse the first potential project on the new blockchain. The firm announced the creation of a virtual world in April 2023, investing about $36.8 million in development.

Krafton’s first-quarter revenue was $407.8 million. The company’s flagship app, PUBG: Battlegrounds, accounted for 33% of the total.

Recall that in March 2022, the company entered into a partnership with Solana Labs to create and promote blockchain games.
