The authorities are returning the interest rate on preferential mortgages for new buildings to the February level, reducing it from 9% to 7% per annum – apparently, this is the biggest economic news of the SPIEF that ended on Saturday. The measure is necessary in order to long-term support the demand for housing, which has seriously sagged in the last two months. Together with rising construction costs and logistical problems, the decline in citizens’ interest in the mortgage program has already led to a reduction in the number of new projects. This is unlikely to affect the performance of 2022, the consequences of the current problems, as well as the decision to stimulate the market, will manifest themselves in 2024–2025. .
