The Polkadot ecosystem has integrated with the Cosmos blockchain space through the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol.

According to the statement, networks on the Polkadot platform have “meeted” with more than 50 IBC-enabled blockchains.

The Cosmos team, through an interoperability protocol, aims to build an “Internet of blockchains” (interchain), which allows participants to interact in a decentralized way.

“This historic achievement paves the way for IBC adoption and more non-Cosmos native ecosystems joining the interchain,” the Interchain Foundation said.

Polkadot is also developing technologies that can increase blockchain interoperability. The platform provides the ability to launch independent networks (parachains) on its own basis and cross-chain bridges.

Recall that in March, the Injective project launched a solution that allows Solana application developers to deploy them in the Cosmos ecosystem.
