The shareholders of the parent company “Gazprom” (PJSC “Gazprom”) at the annual meeting will consider the issue of changing the charter of the company. The location of the PJSC, which is now spelled out in the charter as Moscow, is proposed to be replaced by St. Petersburg.
“Location of the company: Russian Federation, the city of St. Petersburg”, – indicated in the materials for the annual meeting of shareholders (.pdf). From the draft of the new version of the charter, a provision has also been removed that allows a general meeting of shareholders to be held both at the location and in St. Petersburg. The meeting of shareholders will take place on June 25.
PJSC Gazprom is legally registered in Moscow at 16 Nametkina Street, according to data from the Register of Legal Entities (USRLE). Gazprom and its subsidiaries have been moving to St. Petersburg since 2006; now most of the group’s divisions are already in the city. Upon completion of the move, Gazprom’s headquarters will be located in the Lakhta Center skyscraper.
In May, Gazprom announced plans to build a 703 m high Lakhta Center 2 skyscraper. According to the architects, the new building should become the second tallest in the world.
About criticism of “Lakhta Center 2” – in the material of “Kommersant FM” “St. Petersburg will add a spire of discord.”
