Part of the Kursk region is de-energized due to freezing rain

Due to freezing rain, power supply was disrupted in a number of settlements in the Oboyansky, Belovsky, Lgovsky and Konyshevsky districts of the Kursk region. According to the government of the region, about a thousand people were left without electricity.

Repair crews plan to restore power supply in the near future.

In Kursk itself, bad weather caused a stop of electric transport: icy wires do not allow trolleybuses and trams to enter the routes.

Meanwhile, public utilities and road services are fighting ice on roads and sidewalks. The mayor of Kursk, Igor Kutsak, said that the de-icing reagents will not stop at night.
