New Ford Mustang Debuts in Detroit September 14

At the 2022 Detroit Auto Show, Ford will show the seventh generation of the Mustang. This was reported on July 27 by the American edition of Carbuzz.

The publication noted that the Mustang for Ford is the most successful sports car in the world.

The Mustang is expected to come with a five-liter V8, though there will also be a less powerful four-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost engine.

In addition, it is known that the next generation Mustang will be optionally produced on electric traction with a hybrid power system.

The appearance of the car at the Detroit Auto Show is probably closely related to the fact that the new model will be assembled at the same facility as the previous one, in Flat Rock, Michigan.

The publication hinted that after the simple versions of the car, powerful and exclusive options should be expected, such as the Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT500.

On July 21, Ford said it was ready to cut up to 8,000 jobs to finance investment in electric vehicles. It is planned to increase spending on the development and production of electric vehicles to $ 50 billion and launch the production of 2 million electric cars annually by 2026.
