Negotiations on a food deal took place in Moscow

Negotiations between Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin and UN Deputy Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths on a food deal took place in Moscow. This is reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The interlocutors pointed out that the possibility of extending the initiative (export of grain from Ukrainian ports in conjunction with the export of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers) depends on ensuring the full implementation of all previously reached agreements.

In Istanbul, on July 22, two related documents were signed to address the problems of supplying food and fertilizer to global markets.
