The Mutiny team has released a beta version of a self-storage wallet linked to the Bitcoin Lightning Network micropayment network.
At the same time, the application itself is not available in the App Store and Google Play stores.
“Our goal is to make the process as easy as possible. [покупки криптовалюты] and provide additional features that no one has seen before. Due to the strict requirements of the App Store, many bitcoin wallets or services are deprived of features such as tips or payment for digital content, ”the developers said.
Mutiny Wallet is built using Jack Dorsey’s Block Lightning Development Kit. According to representatives of the startup, with its help, it was possible to set up the wallet software stack.
The developers have also entered into a partnership with infrastructure project Voltage to provide liquidity.
Mutiny Wallet will separate funds locked in Lightning channels from funds available for spending on the network. The team noted that they made this compromise for the sake of greater control over assets by users.
The wallet uses the standard seed phrase security, but offers a remote storage feature for data recovery. In the future, developers will add the ability to connect to the application on different devices at the same time. However, in order to avoid “bad consequences”, it is recommended to use only one for now.
Mutiny Wallet acknowledged that bugs could still occur during the beta testing phase, urging caution when sending large amounts.
Circle previously launched a wallet-as-a-service platform for Web3 application developers.
Recall that in July, the MetaMask team made changes to the interface of the browser extension in the release of the crypto wallet v10.33.
