Monument to Pushkin dismantled in Zaporozhye

The authorities of the city of Zaporozhye removed the copper bust of the Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. It has now been placed in storage until its fate is decided.

According to local media, the bust appeared in the city 20 years ago. He was put in honor of the fact that the outstanding poet visited Zaporozhye in 1820.

On July 25, it became known that signatures were being collected in Kyiv for the demolition of the monument to Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya. The authors of the petition claim that the Soviet partisan is not involved in the development of the city and is not an outstanding person.
