Military-historical festival “On the borders of Pskov” opened in Pskov

In Pskov, at the Electron stadium on Friday, July 22, the military-historical festival “At the borders of Pskov” started. It is held as part of the City Day and is dedicated to the Pskov underground and partisan battles in the region, which was occupied by the Nazis.

The events will last two days. Interactive expositions will open for viewers, which will tell about the life of local residents and partisans during the Great Patriotic War.

So, at the Public Catering site, you can taste authentic cuisine, at the Motors site you can get acquainted with retro equipment, at the Style site you can learn more about the fashion trends of the 1940s. The Partisan Village site will help recreate the life of the past, and the Dance Pavilion will help you learn about old musical equipment, hear the melodies of the past and dance, writes the Pskov Information Agency.

On Saturday, at 15.00, within the framework of the festival, a reconstruction of a partisan battle during the Great Patriotic War will take place. Especially for this, a parade-theater in the form of a village was built at the stadium. Episodes of the partisan battle of 1943 will be shown by reenactors who arrived from different Russian regions. During the battle, the village will be burned, the Pskov news feed clarifies.

The festival is organized within the framework of the project “To remember. The second front of Pskov. It is dedicated to the day of the liberation of the city from the Nazi troops. The event is funded by a grant from Rosmolodezh.
