Belarus will be able to find a replacement for Russia as a gas supplier. This statement was made by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
The head of the republic said that there are enough hydrocarbons in the world at affordable prices for Minsk.
“There is a fight for the premium European and our market between the main players supplying natural gas,” Gazeta.ru quotes Lukashenko.
Earlier, during a trip to the Vitebsk region, Lukashenko called for more active use of sawdust and peat as fuel, as is done in the Belarusian region.
The president added that this experience should be extended to the whole republic so as not to “beg” for natural gas and oil, 360 channel reports.
