Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will take the time to speak on the phone with State Department Secretary Anthony Blinken when his own schedule allows. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
“Now he has a busy schedule of international contacts: the SCO Ministerial Council in Tashkent, bilateral meetings,” Zakharova explained to the Interfax news agency.
Earlier, the head of the press service of the State Department, Ned Price, said that Washington had sent Moscow a request for telephone conversations with Lavrov. According to him, the head of the department, Anthony Blinken, intends to discuss with his Russian colleague a grocery deal and the issue of exchanging prisoners, as well as “to warn Moscow against joining Ukrainian territories.”
