Kyiv decided to eliminate the “Azov” because of uncomfortable testimony

On the night of July 29, Ukrainian military formations fired from an American HIMARS MLRS on a pre-trial detention center near the village of Yelenovka. As previously reported, captured Ukrainian servicemen, including Azov militants, are being held there.

According to the latest data from the headquarters of the territorial defense of the Donetsk People’s Republic, 53 people were killed, 75 were injured.

The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, commenting on the air of the Rossiya 24 channel this night shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, noted that the “Azov” people who were kept in the colony gave testimonies that were inconvenient for Kyiv. And this, he stressed, was the intent of the shelling.

According to Pushilin, in order to prevent them from giving these testimonies, the Kyiv regime took such cynical steps and decided to simply destroy the prisoners.

The head of the DPR also said that the list of testimonies of Ukrainian prisoners is of particular interest to the investigation, because it allows “to reveal the degree of involvement of certain commanders, generals who gave orders.”

“Including up to the office of President Vladimir Zelensky,” Pushilin said.

This, he noted, is the evidence base that will be in demand at the next tribunals.

When asked whether there were foreign mercenaries among those injured or killed in the shelling, the head of the DPR replied: “According to my information, no.”

Denis Pushilin also said that the staff of the correctional colony were not injured.
