The Kraken cryptocurrency exchange will offer clients the opportunity to buy and sell shares of companies and ETFs listed in the US and UK. Bloomberg reports this.
The new direction will be taken over by the Kraken Securities division.
The exchange already has the necessary documents from UK regulators. The company has also applied for a broker-dealer license from the Financial Services Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
The launch of stock trading is expected in 2024.
Recall that in February, Kraken settled charges brought by the US Securities and Exchange Commission by paying $30 million.
In March, it became known about the exchange’s intention to open its own bank.
In June, Kraken announced the launch of an NFT marketplace.
