The Russian air defense system repulsed the second missile attack on Kherson from Ukraine in a day, said Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the military-civilian administration of the region occupied by Russian troops.
The first shelling took place in the early morning of July 26, the second – in the afternoon. In both cases, none of the missiles fired by the Ukrainian Armed Forces reached its target – they were shot down on approach to the city.
“There were no arrivals. We counted about two attempts, but the (air defense) system has intensified, there are no threats,” Stremousov said.
He found it difficult to name the targets on which the Ukrainian military were hit, and did not name the multiple launch rocket systems from which the fire was fired.
